Overview

The Presales Business Analyst works in partnership with the sales team as the technical/consultant expert behind the sale. You are responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer’s business issues, objectives, and outcomes to drive product sales. 

You are a self-starting, problem solver with a knack for sales but a passion for technology. You are passionate about combining your technical expertise with your understanding of customer business needs to solve complex problems.

As a Pre-sales Business Analyst, you will provide insight into technology & business trends, product developments, best practices in retail business processes and technical capabilities. You will use professional concepts and company objectives to define technical offerings and solutions; and develop business value propositions around Magestore POS to drive sales with technical expertise, account management skills, and superior customer focus.

Responsibilities

1. Presales Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sales team to conduct discovery sessions and understand customer business challenges, requirements, and use cases.
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend suitable solutions aligned with product capabilities.
  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions.
  • Design high-level solution workflows and architectures to illustrate proposed solutions.
  • Communicate solution value and technical concepts effectively to stakeholders, including management and executive audiences.
  • Research market trends and competitor solutions to strengthen product positioning.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve requirement analysis, documentation quality, solution design, and project efficiency.

2. Delivery Support Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for implementation projects.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and Project Management teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered successfully.
  • Facilitate client workshops, requirement discussions, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training sessions.
  • Support implementation, onboarding, and post-launch activities to drive successful user adoption.
  • Collect customer feedback and provide recommendations for product enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ensure delivered solutions align with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Support AI initiatives internally.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Advanced English level (direct customer interaction)
  • Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience including C-level executives 
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture and software architecture is an advantage. 
  • Having experience in software development with programming languages, databases, and data structures is an advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to maintain relationships with technical resources at all levels of a customer organization
  • Experience in the ERP/POS/E-commerce/Retail solutions is an advantage
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and the ability to leverage them to improve analysis, documentation, and solution design.
